Our proposal is to refurbish the cottage and give it another 200 years of life. True to its simple form and layout, the aim is to provide modern amenities, heating and insulation consistent with modern living yet respectful of the building’s humble origins. A modern entrance porch will provide access to a new social living and dining space at ground floor level. The design statement that accompanied our application provides a flavour of what is proposed.
